Sagar Chauhan

Sagar Chauhan is the Founding & Managing Partner of Axis Law Offices, with over a decade of experience in the legal profession. His practice is primarily focused on civil and commercial law, followed by Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), white-collar matters, and insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. He advises and represents clients across a broad spectrum of contentious and advisory matters, with particular experience in complex commercial disputes and high-value proceedings.

Sagar has developed a broad commercial practice encompassing contractual and commercial disputes, consumer, banking, insurance and corporate laws, as well as insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. He has extensive experience in commercial arbitration and other forms of ADR, advising and representing parties in complex and high-stakes disputes. His practice includes matters involving contractual interpretation, commercial claims, regulatory issues and corporate disputes, where he combines legal strategy with a practical understanding of his clients' commercial objectives.

His Intellectual Property practice covers a wide range of matters involving trademarks, copyright, brand protection, infringement, passing off, enforcement and other contentious and non-contentious intellectual property issues. He advises businesses on the commercial and strategic aspects of intellectual property, including IP-related transactions, licensing, protection and enforcement strategies. His practice also extends to disputes involving the protection and enforcement of valuable intellectual property rights.

Sagar regularly appears before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi, as well as before specialised judicial, quasi-judicial and regulatory forums including the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT), and National Green Tribunal (NGT).

His practice further extends to white-collar and technology-related matters, including cyber law, supported by specialised training in Cyber Law from the Indian Law Institute (ILI). He has also advised on contract management and commercial legal matters, bringing a practical understanding of the relationship between legal strategy and business operations.
